Avowed is set to be Obsidian’s next big RPG and excitement for it is building uncontrollably. The fantasy RPG set in the world of Eora takes place in the same universe as the Pillars of Eternity franchise. But, when can you begin playing and when is the Avowed release date?
Combining everything Obsidian has learned and blending grand medieval fantasy, action combat, and spell-casting, the first-person RPG is set to be a might title for Xbox Series X|S and PC when it releases. And, with Microsoft publishing the game, it will launch on Game Pass as well, meaning you can play it on consoles, PC, and the cloud.
But, what have we seen from Avowed so far and when can we expect to play it? Below, you can find all those details including any bits of lore and story we have heard ahead of the Avowed release date for Xbox and PC.
Avowed Release Date Speculation
Avowed doesn’t yet have a release date. However, multiple reports have said that the game is coming along well and progressing quickly, which has led to speculation that the game could release in the second half of 2023.
This is speculation as Microsoft has not confirmed an official release date for the game, so we will have to wait until we get an official word to get a proper idea.
We have only seen one Avowed trailer as of now, which came at the Xbox showcase in July 2020. This CGI trailer gave us a brief glimpse into the game Obsidian were building at that time.
That covers everything we know about Obsidian’s RPG ahead of the Avowed release date. For more, on Xbox games, check out the Xbox Game Pass list and more upcoming Xbox Series X games.
